New rules from 1.7.2026

The Finacial Supervisory Authority has approved Enerkemi’s new rules. The rules are valid from 1 July 2026.

Section 14 of the rules describes which costs are eligible for additional benefits paid by the fund. Changes have been made to four items of reimbursable costs.

  • Section 14.1 has been amended regarding reimbursements for oral healthcare of public sector client fees. In the future, the maximum additional benefit for oral healthcare is €1,000 per person per calendar year. This applies when no statutory maximum limit has been set for the client fee of oral healthcare.
  • Section 14.2.3 has been amended so that reimbursements for examinations in private healthcare are now up to €1,300.
  • The additional benefit under section 14.2.11 for surgeries and procedures performed by a private service provider is up to €2,000.
  • Wrist and ankle supports have been added to the list of reimbursable medical aids. In addition, a wig is reimbursable when hair loss is caused by cancer or another serious illness.
