Applying for membership

Membership of the fund is voluntary. Membership must be applied for within six months of the beginning of the employment relationship.  The fund’s board of directors decides on membership, which begins at the start of the month following the month during which the application was filed.

Employees with fixed-term employment contracts are accepted as members of the fund if their membership lasts for a minimum of six months.

The members will receive a new Kela-card with the fund’s ID 46001 on the back side of the card.

You can apply for membership by completing an online application here or by sending us  a completed membership application form by post or email.

When you apply for membership online, the  online service Iris is automatically activated.

Termination of membership

Members resign from the fund at the end of their employment relationship with an associated company. Members may also resign by written notice. If a member resigns from the fund by written notice instead of resigning at the end of their employment relationship, they cannot rejoin the fund.

Membership of the fund ends at the close of the month during which their employment relationship ends or at the close of the month during which they resign from the fund by written notice.

At the end of their membership, the member must discard their Kela card marked with the fund’s identifier (46001) to avoid confusion. The fund’s personnel will order the member a new Kela card, which will be delivered to their home address approximately two weeks after their membership has ended.
